Gluten in Oats
There seems to be a lot of recent debate about whether a certain type of rolled oats does or does not contain gluten.
Gluten is in Oats
The idea that oats are gluten free is quite false, Oats are a cereal grain like wheat, rye and barley and they all contain gluten, but at varying rates.
While some people with celiac disease are able to tolerate oats, it is recommended strict medical testing on your body occurs prior to consumption.
If further information is required, we suggest you contact the Celiac Society on (02) 9487 5088 within Australia

In fact while some people may be able to tolerate the low levels of gluten in oats, we suggest consumers with any concerns check with the Celiac society
