Cashew Ginger Sauce
Ingredients
1 cup Melrose 100% Cashew Spread
3 cups water
3 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp chilli sauce (optional)
Method
- Purée Melrose Cashew Spread, water, ginger and tamari in blender until smooth.
- Transfer to saucepan, heat gently, stirring. If you would like a thicker, creamier sauce - make a roux.
Roux
3 tbsp Melrose Organic Omega Gold Spread
3 tbsp flour
Melt the spread over low heat, add flour, mix well. Whisk in heated cashew purée and cook until thick, season to taste. Serve over steamed vegetables.
